About

Who I am

I'm Mahadi Hassan, a Senior Backend Engineer with 6+ years designing, building, and operating scalable production backend systems. I work mostly in TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and Go, on PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka, across microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).

My work spans fintech, healthcare, SaaS, AI, OTT, manufacturing, and EdTech — multi-country remittance and bank/MFS integrations, AI workflow automation with multi-provider LLM orchestration, OTT media and monetization services, multi-tenant SaaS with Kafka and real-time features, and enterprise ERP reporting. I own the full path: technical design, implementation, integration, deployment, production support, and performance tuning.

Currently I'm a Senior Software Engineer at TulipTech in Dhaka, Bangladesh, working on Sonali Pay (multi-country remittance), VelaCrew.ai (AI operations), PB Play (OTT ecosystem), and EMPATHIKA (enterprise healthcare). I also lead code reviews and mentor engineers. I speak Bengali (native) and English (professional working proficiency).

Work with me

Have a project or a role in mind?

I help teams design and ship reliable backend systems — and the Next.js frontends on top. Currently taking on contract and freelance work.

Contract & freelance

Scoped builds — APIs, microservices, and full-stack features shipped end to end (TypeScript · NestJS · Postgres · AWS · Next.js).

Fractional / part-time

Ongoing backend capacity for your team a few days a week — architecture, delivery, and code review without a full-time hire.

Consulting & architecture

Architecture reviews, scaling and reliability work, API design, and code audits for an existing codebase.

Senior Software Engineer · 6+ yrs · Dhaka, Bangladesh

Remote-first & async-friendly · comfortable across time zones · fluent English.
